Here Come The Sikhs

GHQ Sikh infantry.   I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Maybe I should have tried to dry-brush some buff on there to raise the detail on the models, but I want to get my legion of unpainted models finished.

Winter Soviet Infantry

So having returned home I really want to get the majority of my unpainted 6mm painted before July of which there are a lot of effort-intensive sets, including US Army Infantry and late-war Heer which the uniforms and equipment by design vary greatly.

Pacificon 2012 Has Come And Gone

Pacificon 2012 has come and gone and we had a great time re-enacting the Goalpost landings. The outcome of the scenario was pretty consistent with the historical result.  I'll post pics as soon as Eric shares them.  I have to say that there were some great looking tables, but as always, nothing tops micro-armor.

Pacificon Almost Here

Can't wait for the Operation Goalpost scenarios at Pacificon.  I need to paint my colonial French and have to consult my painting guides!

Repost From Last Night

Here is an update I meant to post last night.  Not quite sure what happened.

Anyhoo...

As mentioned last night, I tried mixing in some smaller 6mm infantry with 3mm armor and I think it looks OK.  This is the one rare time I would not use Adler infantry.

Taking Stock

SBGC this month was a giant flea market (i.e. A chance to buy other people's excess from their collections) and while I didn't end up running a game as planned I did pick up a decent collection of buildings and a three section city bridge replete with damaged twin for $25.

Almost no one will be surprised I was hawking the free table which had some very cool stuff including a box of 25+ resin 15mm AFVs.  I snatched them up but then in a dream bubble I saw my wife giving me unapproving looks so I gave them to 2 people who are both trying to jumpstart their FoW collections and I was happy to help them.  I also passed on 15mm Crimean War and Mexican-American sets.  Willpower!!!!

So I am organizing all my new stuff and while putting it away realized how truly giant my 6mm WW2 collection has become.  I am assembling a table of my formations which I'll share in a couple weeks.  I also have AWI and some Victorian era British infantry and some fertile crescent infantry of some sort.

Sorry no pics tonight.  Have a boatload to get done.....I want all this stuff painted by the end of the year!!!!

Jagdpanzer 2 @ Printers

First run of the updated rules @ printer.  I'll be working on the templates for the game.
In the meantime, here's more pics from the game with Steve last night.

Eine Kleine Jagdpanzer

Earlier this year I was approached by Steve Marsh about taking advantage of our relative proximity to one another to start playing weekly.  Well our summer series kicked off with a bang tonight as we took a clash between the French and Germans from the Panzer Grenadier series 1940 component and used Jagdpanzer 2 rules.
